Dog Silence

A Senryu for my wife.

Neighborhood dogs bark,

Cindy screams for them to cease,

Silence fills the night

Author's Note

At about 11 pm tonight, all the dogs in our neighborhood went on a barking frenzy. After enduring in for sometime, my usually mild mannered wife got up, opened the door and screamed at the top of her lungs "SHUT UP!" several times and amazingly, all the dogs shut up. This Senryu is to mark this achievement.

My wife absolutely loves dogs, we have one of our own and she has never met a dog she doesn't like, but tonight her nerves were frayed after hours of barking.

I know the feeling...some of our neighbors have hunting dogs, so it can get a bit frazzling.
