A Fly in her Web

A Fly in her Web

A Poem by Eddie Davis
"

A prose poem for the latest '10 Words I give' contest. The bold, underlined words are the ones that must be used. I'm using them in the exact order they were given in the contest.

"

A Fly in her Web

Shallow minded girl,

Mint perfect of course,

She makes it a point,

To place a ravine,

At Love’s fair request,

I wait on her street,

While spiders descend,

To bite scattered dreams,

With needless disdain,

her swift poison flows,

She sucks out my soul,

A fly in her web

Nicely penned. Thank you for educating me with "ravine."

You're welcome.
Waw this was great. Very striking. Though I'm deathly afraid of spiders so *shudders*

I'm not fond of spiders either.
I like this! Use of 10 given words are placed perfectly, I feel, in this piece. I like the image that you used to inspire this write. "While spiders descend to scattered dreams" is my favorite line. Thank you for entering the 10 Words I Give contest. Write On!!
