My BirthdayA Poem by papaedBirthdays give a different feeling as we get older. Why celebrate my birthday? Is it for presents that we say come to my party and we’ll play, and celebrate that painful day?
When from peaceful warmth I popped, life giving fluid from me was sopped, life giving cord from me was lopped, even my penis tip was chopped!
Could it be for recognition of our lives improved condition to compare last year’s edition of the story that’s being written?
Could it be it’s just a habit? A place for us to take a stab at denying our true age and blab that we’re not ready for the slab yet?
Could it be a joke that others pull to prove that they’re our brothers and if we really had our druthers we’d just as soon go thank our mothers
I tend to think the truth is clear. Birthdays remind us life is dear. Death approaches with to much cheer It’s better to just go have a beer. © 2008 papaedReviews
