THE TREE

Why do poets like to write about trees?

 

 

In the forest of my love

There stands a eternal tree
Its branches forever flourish
From the love you made in me

 

It is strong and majestic
For it never feels alone
It is bathed in the warming rays
Of the passion you have shown

 

Nestled by your tenderness
Invigorated when you’re there
This tree will stand forever
In the garden of your care

Why do poets like to write about trees? Is it growth? Whatever it is I will add this to the pantheon of floral poems. LOL

Not bad. I think some of your language choices and imagery are a tad overdone, and there are parts which could do with a bit of tweaking, but overall, this is fairly well done.
