Love is Eternal

When the Sun sets and skies go black: 

"I need you." 

When the tides change and no one has my back: 

"I need you." 

When joy is frozen by life's bitter cold: 

"I need you." 

When love is lost and lust is bold: 

"I need you." 

When every day becomes a losing fight: 

"I need you." 

Your soft whisper that said "It's alright" 

"I need you." 

I sit here in tears lost and alone 
Placing flowers on your cold grave stone 
Whispering softly: “I need you."

I wrote this poem a few years ago and just found it. It is a very simple poem. I posted it because it has a good message.
