A WRITER'S B.S.

A friend of mine was wondering why no one read his poems. He said now he just writes to belong with other writer. Not sure what that means.

What is this writer's B.S. that you write to just belong? 
The truth is that you write so you don't feel alone 
You write to be heard and taken for who you are 
You write to leave a mark that you lived under these stars 
You can lie and tell yourself you write to just belong 
But the truth is that you write because the urge is just too strong 
It bangs in your subconsciousness when you try to sleep 
It stirs in your guts and sometimes won't let you eat 
You don’t write for people; Truth is you write for peace 
You write to feel normal; you just write to find release! 
It is that touch of inspiration that brings exquisite joy 
It is a passion as deep as sex, and more fun then any toy 
So get off your B.S. and face the real reason why you write 
You write because you have to; because it is your life!

You write because you are a writer. We never write just to belong. It is something that eats at us because it is our gift. It has to find a way to get out and it always will. It doesn't matter if no one gets what you write. It is who you are. Sometimes we are ahead of our time. LOL Just write!

This might be my favorite poem of yours. It was very..deep. Very effective in portraying how a dedicated writer feels about his/her work. The rhyme scheme was simple, the flow was consistent, and the diction provoked very vivid emotions. Although it was a fairly short poem, it is really good.

Writing is a beg part of my life, and I write as naturally as I breath. But my goal is to be published, and if I didn't hope for that, I'd probably stop.
