BROKEN HEART

So many have been 'broken' but can one ever men a heart that has been broken?

                        BROKEN HEART

To you who hurt me, deserted me

I seem to keep coming back for more.

You who dropped me, embarrassed me

yet I keep knocking at your door.

The heart you have is so full within

it disregards the pain I am in.

What is love if it doesn't forgive:

we all deserve that chance to live.

Don't tell me,I know the score

you need to search for lovers,

the urge grows more and more.

Serial lover - I do know what it is for!

but how can you mend that broken heart

one you have shattered - blown apart!?

We often cover pain in an effort to take on some of the blame... but why suffer in silence to cover the shame?

yes, we do take on the blame..way too often. And sometimes we are just so stubborn...we will not admit that there isn't good in that other person, love for us in that other person...and it can be so devastating to find out..neither is true....and hard not to blame ourselves for not being loved.

We try to make excuses to justify the other person selfish actions ...and maybe our own mistakes. Karma will take its turn to claim justice so - live on!

Hello kitty. Such a sad poem but with a universal theme. Many will find themselves in this situation sadly. Some people are incapable of fidelity and will go on to break many hearts. Once your heart is broken it can take a long time to mend, sometimes never. How do you learn to trust again? Poignant lines very well conveyed. All good wishes.

Thanks for a true and wise response to this humble piece. You've hit the nail on the head. My view is to pick up the pieces and move on. Super glue or Bond it will do the job but the cracks still remain as a stark reminder not to take that path again.

Been there. Used Super Glue and prayed real hard for healing! Also called on my inner strength!
