Beyond

For Marie, who was a dear friend here in Writerscafe ...

Only recently I've heard of a friend's passing,

With strong faith, wishing her spirit to reach the spring,

A destination, a place where there's no ageing,

Beyond solemn kindness; where every heart could sing.

Reading her poems' like looking through the windowpane,

Waves, thoughts; to be found even when you're the seeker.

Praying for her night's rest, for it's over, the rain.

Arrangement, hope; circle of peace that won't flicker.

I actually didn't see whom you dedicated this to at first, but as reading through your beautiful poem I immediately thought of Marie! It could only be our dear Marie who was greatly loved here at W.C and so sadly missed.

We never did talk about anything other than writing, but there was this connection that I really felt in my heart. She was honest with her opinion. She tells me what she likes and doesn't like in my poem, but in the end, she believes in me, and I guess that's what really matters the most :)
