Cinnamon

Cinnamon

A Poem by Reetta

Sleepy eyes
and a dusting of cinnamon
hearts for pupils, and all along
your eyes were the ones I saw
by the big moon
against the mauve skies
where cherry trees
welcomed escapees
through the portal to heaven
