Rush

Rush

A Poem by SilentDreamer

We gather at the door

Waiting for it- that sound

Of the bell

That releases us.

When it does ring

We stream through the

Doorways, into the hallways

Like the current of a river,

Feet pounding.

Voices chattering,

Almost indistinct

Like the hum of bees.

Smells melding together in

The air.

Constantly being jarred and

Bumped about

Like traveling on a

Country gravel road.

That poem is very original in a way of writing, the words and melody! I love this kind of short poems, because they emphasize more so the words really can be effective! very nice...
