5:30 PmA Poem by MirrorThe essence of being a career womanLittle did I know time had passed I came in the wee hours Check my desk and revised Decided to rearrange the papers And set up for today's work "Good morning" The grudged cleaner said She drop her broom and mob Ready to face the scattered brain movements of the day like rain To, fro, back, and forth Swivel and turns, even chairs that run Both smiling and frowning clients Ready to get a smack at you "Yes, Sir" said I to Both boss and none Daydreaming of home sweet home Only to see that I have but none To blame if by 5:30 pm None of my job is done Forgive me dear lover Forgive dear friends Mostly dearly think I my children They all foremost do bear
