Sand People

Sand People

A Poem by emily joe

You etch Diana F eulogies to a backdrop
Of 1957 Pacific Ocean pinholes
Your fingertips are film
And you brand my half-smile
Into a portrait of California
As if we will live here
On the beach
And sand dance
For always

Chicago gasps me back

You convey moods and emotions so very well with your gasp-inducing language. This is a work of beauty, succinct and powerful.

A very nice tale in the poem. You gave life to the photo and the sand. I did like the logical ending. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

Ha, nice.

You love Chicago.

Ever read that guy Carl Sandburg? Last line reminded me of him, a little. Gasping Chicago.
