Recipe of the day

Recipe of the day

A Poem by emmajoygreen
"

mere silliness for the weekend and a one hundred percent result!

"
Ingredients

2 tablespoons bravado
2 tablespoons of oil
4 cups full of honey
simmering gently

7 drops of vanilla
1/2 lure on a hook
3 chocolate sprinkles
a glance at a book

Directions?

Gently mix our first stanza
tho' slowly picking fruit
from our shimmering
passionately required
only and solely
heart-shaped you-me

Thus comes a vintage year
'gainst cushions divine
learning how patience
produces a tasteful
superbly found in
magnum of wine

perfectly us!

Have muddled the plural and singular above. But, that doesn't matter between friends, does it!

:) Happy Sunday and all others!
Your poem is a playful and whimsical celebration of the pleasures of cooking and relaxation. I love the way you describe the ingredients in such a creative and evocative way, from the "2 tablespoons of bravado" to the "4 cups full of honey heated to boil." The way you describe the "7 drops of vanilla" and the "3 chocolate sprinkles" is also particularly charming, as it captures the way that even the smallest details can add flavor and sweetness to our lives. I also love the way you describe the directions for mixing the ingredients, and the way that you encourage your readers to sit back and relax, enjoying a magnum of wine as they do so. Overall, I think your poem is a delightful and lighthearted tribute to the joys of cooking and relaxation, and it made me smile and feel happy.

Laughing as ever when you call, sir!
Sometimes I wish I still imbibed. Although I would change the wine for a good 20 yr old single malt but it wouldn't rhyme as well. And a magnum of usca beatha is just silly. Isn't it?
