TRUTH AND WARNING

THIS MESSAGE HAS CROPPED UP NUMEROUS TIMES OVER THE YEARS.. SO WATCH OUT ESPECIALLY THE YOUNGER OR MORE SENSITIVE

Hi Emma. I am new to Writer’s Cafe and I was wondering if I could get your opinion on something. I am reading a Dean Koontz novel where a woman is holding a man hostage in her home for ransom. While restrained to a chair, the man suddenly calls for help, but the woman quickly covers his mouth. This is the part I find implausible. Since women have very small hands, do you think your hand would be large enough to cover his mouth? I’d love your honest opinion.

I got this message in my inbox today, for the first time. I answered him initially, thinking he sincerely wanted feedback for some novel of his but then he reverted to my answer with another strange question that made me suspicious and I ignored it. Yes indeed, a more impressionable person may be affected. It was creepy in hindsight. Another friend of mine also got his message. Thank you for the heads up.

All should take care of idiotic monsters such as this I agree. He only sends to females which gives ample evidence of his motives.
Take care everyone.

Yes. Have only heard females mentioning it, but with such a vague name I have been sent it too.
Just someone who gets his jollies by talking out his fantasies, probably because he'd run at the first sight of a real woman talking to him.
But hey, I'm a cynic and not a woman and certainly not a young woman, so can see why this is beyond creepy, especially since they've been posting the same message to people for years.

That creature has posted the message perhaps six, seven times in the years I have been in here. One young writer, sixteen plus, was petrified. 'Will NOT have that sort of thing happen. Some- AS IN THE PAST, might think it amusing but there are sensitive and young women in here who deserve better. How amazing that 21 people have looked in but have nothing to add. Not wanting anything for self, but people could at least care

I agree with Chris.
Everyone needs to be wary of this kind of stuff.
Thanks for pointing it out.
