Patricia Wedel

Patricia Wedel

A Story by emmajoygreen
"

Having missed dear Pat for some time, I looked online and within minutes found the following.. For those who knew her writing about life, Nature and dear Roger will surely whisper a prayer for her

"
'Mrs.Wedel had a heart of gold, she was always with her husband Roger for his visits at

the Fredericksburg VA CBOC. Always advocating for him during his medical journey. She

will be missed, she never knew a stranger and would quickly talk to anyone in the

lobby. People like her are special and have a way of making others feel special. May her

family be blessed with her memory.

A quietly powerful work that unfolds with emotional resonance and narrative confidence, this story draws the reader into a world both fantastical and deeply personal. Its strength lies not only in the compelling plot but in its unflinching exploration of trauma, connection, and identity. The writing moves with the rhythm of memory and revelation, balancing lyrical introspection with moments of raw, visceral tension. Scenes shift seamlessly between tenderness and unease, capturing the delicate balance between light and darkness that defines so much of the human experience. It lingers not just as a narrative, but as an echo of something truer beneath the surface.

Dear Pat 🥀
It is with most grateful thanks I celebrate the wonderful lady and poetess with whom I've mutually shared our poems over the amazingly exciting years … yet, it is also with heavy heart I bid you a forever adieu.
Still, God and all your passed loved ones and friends will be so thrilled to welcome you to your new home.
Your always cheerful presence and boundless love for flora-n-fauna, and your gently romantic heart, shall be truly missed.
My deepest, most sincere condolences go out to your family, all your friends, poetesses, and poets.
May you smile down upon us with the same favor we've come to always enjoy from You.

With eternal love 'n hugs!
Your friend ⁓ Richard Jenkins 🌺🐝

It's always so sad to see someone so nice as Patricia leave us. She commented on my poems many times and I always made sure to return the favor. She was a gentle soul and will be missed.

I am shocked and in tears typing this out. Pat and I go way back to another poetry venue where we met some twenty years or so ago. She was the kindest of souls, and whenever she reviewed your work, her review was poetry itself. What a loss we have endured. May her light always be here, in a place she loved, among friends and poetry she treasured!

Pat was a kind soul and her devotion to Roger was never ending. She loved birds, butterflies, and really all of nature. May she rest in peace. I know her memory will be a blessing to all who loved her. Lydi**
