FramedA Poem by emmajoygreenrepeated thoughtsLandscape framed by window divided by the length of the middle to the left green fields scarred by clumps of dock edged sweet with late day sheen hawthorn hedges, Spring sprouting - dashing dogs and owner dare and stroll worn snaking paths fully aware - examining with sighs trees lacing a smear of distant hills mottled cattle gently grazing sunset streaked clouds floating the paleness of to the right across the applique-look of land determined walker strides hands pocketed, head down, destined to make it home for steaming tea; proud hills reach skyward as tractors, four wheeled drives et al flash in opposite directions each viewed across frost bleached fence Winter's fingerprint, a chore to come, to leach and lacquer Landscape - framed by window I'm the length looking from the middle
