A Poem by SLOVA

the candle wicks burn taller
but the wax boils down
and when the soot and ash fall
in the wax they will drown

I liked this one a lot!! short and sweet.

I´m clapping my hands and smiling right now, even if you can´t see me. Loved it. I´ve always regarded our existence like a burning candle, or cigarette. The rhyming wraps up the poem wonderfully. ;)

so much depth in this brevity! brilliant metaphor!

How many times have I started into a candle and not noticed this simple truth? Nicely done for a beautiful description of events that often go unnoticed.
