Something

Something

A Poem by SLOVA

do you endure my life
as much as I celebrate yours
do you understand the life I lead
an entire age before

your life is imperfect
and you're an imperfect man
of all the men I've known in the world
it is you I cannot stand

I'm caught in your jacket
dreaming of this peace
where you and I are sworn to love
until our skin would crease

but I'm only endured
in our time together
it's during quiet moments
you are my friend fairweather
