GOLD TIME FEVER.A Poem by Emunah June.I dream in startling silvers and glittering golds and deep in every bejeweled breath I find that I'll stand behind every counter to pay the price for whatever it is you choose to sell. I don't want to dream about you I don't want to miss the way there was ice in your veins and on your wrist. I dont want to measure my worth between each tick of a diamond watch ; yet there is no sweeter metronome. Even if we both stood at the borderline between grey and glamor, we would be unable to compare the measure of love and greed. We'd feel the rush of chaos through narrowed eyes and moonlit breaths. I don't think I want to love you. But I dont see any other choice. You are the glimmering poison in my veins, the hundred degree fever I never want to break, and the toxic gem of every colour. © 2023 Emunah June.Author's Note
