GLUE

GLUE

A Poem by Emunah June.

the most exhausting fight within the human mind
is the one between just enough and good enough

waking up at four to sunrise
with eyes so wet from dewy tears
to grasp at nothing once again ;
entangle myself in the echo of before.

pill by pill on bathroom counters
to fight cowardice and completion
for control over the console of the mind
to steer left, steer right, steer six feet below.

i wish i had the strength to separate
mortal from soul and body from bone ;
to let pain wash away
in the earth beneath your heel.

one day i wont be here.
lets come together and pray for release.
