I came looking to read your poetry and I loved this poem. So deep, and open to interpretation. The blood under flesh, the pool under bone made me think violence and abuse. The last line is very telling - its his version of love as is always for abusers. The abuse need not be physical, it can be psychological, it can be toxicity but the common thread is that the one who abuses always thinks its love. Its gaslighting. On the whole, this poem makes a great impact and says so much in so few words.

Strong dance of words. You allowed the reader to decide their place in your words. We must learn and know so many emotions. Thank you for sharing the amazing chapter.

you should omit the last six words. It would make this more universally relatable.
