VII - PEARLS.

VII - PEARLS.

A Chapter by Emunah June.

hold my hand
to look at me
and tell you see smoke
over sunset embers,

tell me you see
the names of children in my voice
and liquor over ice
on assorted coffee tables,

that you see moving trucks
and rolling hills
in the way i bat my eyes.

tell me i am everything
while my meal tells me
i am nothing.

how deep is your love?
will it make it past
my napkin?

This poem is absolutely brilliant. I think I will pause in reading you, you make me hurt! That is the highest praise I can offer.
