MILITIA.

MILITIA.

A Poem by Emunah June.

i once heard a learned man say
the armies of the Lord would have
the drummers march up front.

they would guide in siren's song
a blade by requiem's hand.

wave by wave
to certain demise.

so where do you think
all the screamers go?

(padding on the hill
everyone chose to die on!)

the drummers all die while the lead singers cower in back...
the screamers in the audience bear witness.
Very interesting piece here.
I like the abstractness of this poem.
