XIX - PETAL.

i spent my whole life

riding my bike with both

my hands on the handlebars.

standing up, wind in my hair,

leaning back to soak in

the honey from the sun.

breathing in

the scent of summer.

so now here i am

some years later,

and i have to wonder

when the distance between

each handlebar

felt so far from me?
