I wish I knew Hebrew, and as I am currently reading "Parzival", I wish I could also read old German- it seems these beautiful texts are just beyond my reach in modern era as my mind only knows English and a spot of French. I think this makes it all the more important to take inspiration from the old and transform it into the new so our modern eyes can digest the emotion once again. This struck a cord in me, as I'm learning how to be a woman in a fast-paced society, I feel I don't know what it is to be "beloved". I do hope you elaborate- asking for a friend.
Emunah,
What exotic imagery! Such lovely words can only come from a lovely soul. You share such peace in the story... inevitable, deep, a fait accompli with whole novels to follow!

I also like that your format is unique, how did you accomplish this?

Its weird, and Im sorry that my explanation will be so bland, but it just sort of comes to me. I write, and while I write, I know where to start and when to stop. Its almost like my being says "this is enough". Ive been told that its free verse at its core, so thats what I usually say.

This beautiful poem makes me think of the Songs of Solomon from the Bible. Its a poem full of love and longing. An anticipation of love's embrace. I love how you call him a King in the fields and yourself the fruit of his harvest. The imagery is so unique and passionate. Loved this read.
