HANGNAIL.

HANGNAIL.

A Poem by Emunah June.

innocent in appearance
underneath the skin.
close by, but an entity
in its own measure.

a push
a pull
the bleeding
the pain.

and a band-aid wont
fix them all.

So TRUE!
I love the calmness of the poem at first
knowing it's going to get worse! lol
Yep, the end is heck!
(I file mine down as soon as possible)

I have an unhealthy obsession with hangnails. So much so that the gel I use for any nicks to my face for shaving is now used to cover hangnails instead. It is like liquid plasters that coat them but for some reason they become prey to picking when still half asleep before fully waking.
I have no idea what it's made of as all the instructions are in Italian but it was recommended to me by a hairdresser forever ago.
All I know is that picking them doesn't just ruin your day but your week too! 😃
It can be found on Amazon by typing Proraso liquid, but don't get it mixed up with styptic pencils as that nips like a beach! 😃

You can make a poem -- and a good one! -- out of anything, Em.
