STALE BREAD.

STALE BREAD.

A Poem by Emunah June.

days go by
where i stare at this screen ;
no words born
from pregnant thoughts,
no fetus
of an idea.

poets rush
and comments flow
and conversations
keep the Cafe abuzz
with news and novelty.

and i worry no product
nor scholarly thought
will eradicate my existence.

previous creation stale bread
on cracked plates
at a table no one wants
to sit at anymore.

No fetus of an idea? If this is what you write when no words born, your doing good.
If an idea dosen't come don't force it. Just relax, doing something else.
I like your poem on writer's block.

If all else fails, write about not writing. It works for me! 😃
Isn't it a conundrum of writers that some unseen offswitch is clicked to the off position without as much as a warning? (I'd blame the museum but she might just smite me dumb... well, dumber!
Whether pen or screen, it is the habit of writing that excites. The anticipation of creating something from nothing and just as said anticipation makes a smile appear on your face, it disappears as quickly as we hit the control alt delete on our brain, just to check the settings loaded correctly and then... still nothing and that smile is now upside down and we wonder what we're even doing trying to write, so we give up and the minute we're not paying attention something stirs inside and the ideas flow once more.... hopefully! 😃

If it’s any consolation Emunah June, it happens to most writers at times. Truly frustrating I know, but the muse can’t be forced. She will return when ready. The dreaded writer’s block. I like how you have described it here. Happy to find your table today and sit wuth you for a while.

Professionally, it's called "writer's block". It 'bites' all of us from time-to-time ( and more than once).

This write offers unique wording - which also bring viewers to there own unique thoughts. It is relevant to any time and near everyone as well as being a real view and viewpoint to be discussed.

Emunah June, you can contract a computer virus and not realize it until much later. I hope this helps, friend. I never open images unless I know the sender "personally".

I will sit at your table any time Emunah, as you are a fine poet.
Unless of course the bread turns green...then I might reconsider. :)))

Its nothing but handmade challah over here! Haha, thank you so much Jacob, that means so much to me.
Emunah, you are so prolific and write so well, I would gladly sit at your table and eat stale bread.

Me, I only write when inspiration hits. Days can go by and I don’t worry about not writing.

What is with all your posts that are grayed out and cannot be responded to?

I'm glad you wrote Stale Bread! It gives the reader many POVs of a situation!

When Writers Cafe was "glitching like a foundering ship", I deleted friends thinking one might have a virus attached.

Thankfully, this Titanic stayed afloat..."for a little while longer"..?

I love this! Friend!

Let's face it, blocks suck. But you are connected to the mind of the universe. Be patient and be open, and the sun will shine again.
