pale imitation of

the ones who came before ;

feminine in energy,

divine in conquest.

quench summer's thirst

between thighs eternal,

in solitude's structure

and magic's destruction.

and it comes to pass

i am a child of desire

when i never asked to be

or wanted to be discovered.

for you see,

i am gentle in design

and here to please everyone

but myself.

Very nice Emunah June. This is a soft and tender ode to womanhood it feels like. Doing for others without requiring return. Quenching the summer, especially in the thirsty summer. But then again quenching in so many ways year-round. I appreciate this delicate piece, nice work!

I don't sense any sadness from this at all surprisingly. If anything, I get a lot celebration vibes and self-awareness.

You are for sure not wrong. I think my poem contained a mixture of both -- the joy of femininity as well as the distaste in diluting yourself to a version that isnt the original. I am so glad you like my work, it gives me hope Im not that rusty after all!
