In keeping with my current journey through restoring my mental health, I chose to take some time and play some video games recently. I have always been a huge fan of the thriller / horror genre, and I recently picked up a game titled "Life Eater". In this game, you play a man who has been tormented by this eldritch type god who demands he sacrifice a set number of people a year, lest he destroy the world upon failure to do so. The man hates that this burden has fallen on him, and struggles with who he believes this makes him to be.
The game has a set stalking mode, where the player has to effectively find out their targets routine over the course of a week, so that way they can perform the ritual correctly based on whatever information they find. The concept is truly morbid!
Ironically, I think its helped my mental health in some way. The game requires a strenuous amount of focus and paying attention to detail. Plus, the voice acting and art are phenomenal.
Its been on my mind alot lately, so, here is a short poem that is based off of it.
You can learn more about the game here if you want to read up on it:

Rather than admit our weaknesses, we convince our selves we are "beloved sinners."
I like that idea and understand it...someone very close to me has gone through what this poem suggests.
Your work covers so much ground, and you are never afraid to take chances.
I appreciate that so much.

I like the poem though, you might kill my pets so I don't know man.
