XXVI - KISS.

XXVI - KISS.

A Chapter by Emunah June.

he kissed
the summer
right out of my
mouth

and didn't
bother to ask
what season
i was in.

thankfulness
fell away to a rage
that no one would
validate

because i guess i'm just
expected to be
grateful.

Very well written. Superficially simple, the poem actually digs deep into memories and emotions of love and hate. I love your use of “seasons.” Each stanza carries its own powerful punch. Keep it up Emunah.
