MILK + CAKE.

congesting

infesting

craved 

and consumed.

i ate up

every lie

with all their

empty calories.

becoming fat off 

the hopes that this time

would be different.

to be a meal

in a dining room

far too rich for 

my blood.

the change is coming

in all it's decadence.

so eat

and drink

and be merry for now

because when the seasons change

so does the palette

of the tongue

and the wit of the chef.
