Buring bridges.

It's like building a bridge.

Taking a long time to slowly put together.

If all goes good, you'll have a bridge.

But if something is done wrong,

it will all crumble before you.

It takes such a long time to build your foundation.

Sometimes, you're so close that you can already see it.

And then, in an instant, it collapses before you.

 

It can take forever, and in a matter of seconds,

your bridge will burn.

And all you're left with, is ashes.

 

             Trust.

Not only is the structure of this well created, but the metaphor is spot on as well. First, the building of the bridge; then, the burning of the bridge; and finally, what the bridge stands for. The organization helps make the poem attractive to read and the metaphor is one that anyone could connect with. Well done.
