Message in the sand

 

 

 

As i walked along the shore one day,

i came across a message in the sand,

i wondered what the message had to say,

written in a sad and shaky hand.

 

I sat there on the beach for just a while,

with thoughts of who had wrote such sad, sad words,

i looked across the ocean miles and miles,

and wished the one who wrote would soon be heard.

 

The sun was in her majesty, shining bright,

the sand felt soft and cool beneath me,

would the one who wrote the message see the light,

and one day all their demons be set free.

 

I only hope an angel, reaches out a friendly hand,

and opens up her sacred heart today,

for the one who wrote the message in the sand,

before the ocean washes hope away.

Great piece. It's full of hope for love. I love the idea of riskiness...write in the sand and take the chance of the one you love seeing it...or it being washed away into the oceans water. I enjoyed very much.
