The countryside

 

 

 

 

I feel i,m so alone here,

yet surrounded by such life,

i feel i'll tell the truth here,

i could never tell a lie.

 

The river it absorbs me,

the trees, so big and strong,

the flowers they ignore me,

yet they don't know where i,m from.

 

The twigs, they snap beneath me,

the fallen leaves they crunch,

the birds, they sing above me,

the countryside,s too much.

It,s full of life and wonder,

my eyes are full of awe,

the beauty thats before me,

i can,t want or ask for more.

I like the feel of being immersed in nature conveyed in this poem. As if the poet walks through life with eyes wide open and relays to us her experiences.
