Most of us when overwhelmed, write about their parents and the time spent with them and e.t.c...but a very few of us have the time, the need and the courage to let out our emotions and feelings about our children, and when it does come out, its just too deep and touchy to grasp...perhaps we are just too naive to accept sometimes. This is one such poem, that's full of love and moving emotionality.
I hope wherever ur son is, he's doing fine...by the grace of the Lord.
You have written a very moving, sad piece. I don't know how I would deal with my child going off to war, especially as you said "the war is not a war we're meant to fight". May your child return safely and soon, as well as all the others serving our country. Keep writing.....Windy
This is a very personal write. I really enjoyed it...very sad in the sense of knowing someone you love with all of you must leave and you have not control over it. Well written.
