Looking in the Mirror

a poem I wrote when I was sitting in a class one day and it really spoke to me and I hope it speaks to you.

 Looking in the mirror

what do i see?

a beautiful face

looking at me

 

eyes of golden hazel

hair of dark brown

smile of sunshine

im not letting you get me down

 

heart of gold

putting everyone else first

its time to work on me

time to put me first

 

Looking in the mirror

what do i see?

my future lies ahead

just wait and see
