The Dream CatcherA Poem by EMPI created a web of cotton and string, And hung it up on my window sill. I stuck little beads and nice little bows, And made sure that all of it's prettiness showed.
That very same night, I lay on my bed, Thinking of rainbows and my little ted. But something disturbed me, so black and big, i leapt out of my bed, ran and hid.
My mummy came up to see what was wrong, Stepped in the room and turned the light on. It turned out it was just a trick of the light, But I knew I'd be having nightmares that night.
I lay down again, shaking and cold, Scared of what my dreams would hold. But as I dozed off, I felt very calm, My web of dreams was next to my palm.
So from that moment on, I'd sleep like my ted, Nice and warm in my cosy bed. And when I'd be scared and trouble was near, My dream catcher was there to battle my fears. © 2008 EMPFeatured Review
