I hate the smoothness of your voice and the way you talk,

your crooked smile and the way you walk.

I hate all your glances and lingering stares.

I hate how you left me unanswered without care.

I hate that I still long after all these years.

I hate the sound of silence that rings through my ears.

I hate that you haven't and never will see.

But what I hate most of all is that you will never set my heart free.
