Cat Patrol Cat

A simple lighthearted poem about a wandering cat.

The cat patrol cat stops by
we give him a friendly hi
he twitches his whiskers
and looks at us
us cat lovers
think him such a plus
he is nearby awhile
inside he makes us smile
he keeps watch for birds
we give him friendly words
then he goes about his way
on cat patrol all day

This poem made me smile! I really enjoyed this one, yes indeed. I can visualize a cat out daily patrolling his territory and having friends at various stops he nods to then moves on, as if checking it. Great poem Eric! A delight to read!!
