First off, thank you for your kind reviews. Second, wow I love this. The title drew me in and I'm so glad it did. Stars, galaxies, constellations, just space in general are all favorites of mine. I hard-core wanted to be an astronaut when I was little, until the fifth grade really. Anyways how beautifully strung together these words are, the metaphor of this burnt out star. How sad, she must have really been something.

and thank you for your words---i will be visiting your page quite often...
what we see of stars is what burned out long ago, beautifully put Jacob. The beauty we see today always succumbs to tomorrow, but we never quite forget the beauty that we saw today.
You sum this up perfectly with the ending, wasted shards of potential. Is this perhaps the time fretted over losing our lustre, rather than just living the moment instead of trying to live yesterdays.
Superbly written, as ever.
What all I see through your very cascaded words is that you beautifully and so gently soothe the beauty of woman you loved the most - the lady of your fantasy land. Very philosophical you seemed to this page. Nice imagery!
