There are days that feel like
we have seen this one before
like watching tv
and all the channels sound and look the same
one tries to come out of that state of mind
Buried in a sense of cold snow
all the same ..... we grow a bit bored

Right on brother!! My TV isn't connected to the aerial. The ads annoy me so much. It's easy to waste ao much time watching vapid dross. And I unfortunately do. In downloaded form. Doh!

There is a genuine and pervasive lack of depth in modern society, and I think you are absolutely correct in postulating that television is partly responsible as it takes the life out of life, reduces it to two dimensions, then beats the meaning out of it in reruns.
I like the way you take the ordinary, and write an extraordinary poem, jacob.

This is why I spend so much time writing Television has reached saturation point in banal entertainment.. I particularly liked your reference to the satellite dish digging itself out of grief. It conjured up a concept of
celestial censorship. (I'm sure there's a poem waiting to be born(e) here.
