This is one of the most descriptive and clever renditions I've ever read of a therapy session.

Good job, you!

You can't live with em....Many a man swerved toward that rubber just short of entering. Live with someone and the reason isn't always hard to see. Great 4th line and overall poem Jacob.

Anything with a self description of vagabond ravings is more than worth a few minutes of my time, and yet again Jacob, you capture the essence of being, amongst the many who scream to drown out your voice, the only way a true poet can, with rawest emotions and subtleties of seeing self and others In the moment you frame so well.
Superb.

So well written as usual Jacob. Love these lines ( thorns of virtuous disharmony ) Great imagery and metaphor in everything you write...a pure joy to read. ~SP

I just went to therapy for the first time today and I'm glad i didn't leave with these sentiments. I replaced the therapist in this with a love of mine and felt like i grasped your struggle and made it my own. The hardest part is the only one who can fix us is ourselves but we're broken...until we aren't. Great poem. thank you.

Some people are soul therapy
We feel so good once we meet
Its that hour of escapism
In a way its liberating to have that free exchange

While poetry as therapy is easier on the wallet, you still pay. And pay. And pay.

Wry and well-wrought, as is your wont.

Love this title!

What follows is a multitude of offerings in the solace of love's madness. Here we are slurping away in poetry's ice cream soda joint.

Al

This sounds very much like Therapy, maybe an appointment with a therapist? But then i read again and i think, it's all about sitting somewhere looking at this one person maybe reminding you of your own past. And trying to find solace just staring at her. I mean i don't know but this felt different from your usual writes. Just how felt when i read this one. Maybe i was thinking about me subconsciously making the scenario seem different to me.

It's always a pleasure to read your works ^^
Oh you put me in an old roadside cafe with this one Jacob - hoping to find compassion in a cold hearted waitress who has no interest in listening to the broken-hearted patron that's sipping his memories through a paper straw - I'm pretty sure it's an hour with a counsellor you speak of here but I like my vision ;)
