Sooner or Later

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

Sooner or Later

clouds will go crazy

and purple rain will find us---

we are all fatal

That's what I often do. Extending a single line that pops up in my mind. You're welcome.
whether we are musos or not or just followers we all meet our end in our own mortality. all our musos are considered immortal until they die! but their music lives on.

In any art the colors fade. Purple took a big hit.

Tributes are in order, and this is a nice one...complex...few words. You chose "fatal" rather than "mortal" which I find fascinating...it sets it apart and makes me read all sorts of things into this. Could it be that we are all "fatal" to ourselves?...maybe, only some of us, but then, don't we all have our vices.

I like this reminder that life is short, but the last line doesn't read right to me . . . maybe mortal would be a less unusual word. Of course, we all relate to purple rain, symbolizing our tearful feelings toward this amazing force of creativity.

A nice tribute and a subtle reminder, don't waste time you never know how much you have. Nicely done.

Still can not believe Prince has died. Only 57 and so very talented. Yes, we all have to go, but we don't like to think about that, do we? Very good tribute, Jacob. Lydi**
