scant little white lies

blacken the portfolio

cause future mistrust

If i can spot the white lie
i let it go

i guess what breaks trust more than anything
is when someone acts

so acting on a white lie is where trust is demolished

you made me think with this one

thank you for your insights, Nisreen...

the contrasts are great.... white/black
little words/a collection of what represents a person

makes you more cautious for sure- but don't forget to be bold in calling out
the white and black- to find reconciliation

where we can relate to our own white and black- and say- no more to living in mistrust!

Your words are relevant in any setting, personal or professional and for all relationships. Trust if broken gives birth only to mistrust. Amazingly written.

You are most welcome...
The simplicity of this is what makes it truly insightful -- can work on a personal or a political level. The more layers of lies, the deeper the mistrust, no matter how we want to believe.

this is soo true on so many levels, bother personally and professionally. Someone who lies in the beginning with lie their whole way through until it can't be sustained anymore. great senryu.

How true this is....once someone has lied to me, I tend to mistrust anything and everything that comes out of his/her mouth. You can't put the genie back in the bottle. Lydi**

And once that trust is tattered or broken, hard to regain....true in its truth :)

Yes, once you lose it is gone forever. We may forgive, but in the back of our mind, we always wonder when the next betrayal is coming.

That is short, nice, clear-cut and very veracious. It takes years to gain somebody's trust, but it takes just one moment to lose it. Keep writing.
