Amazing use of words and thoughts my friend.
"i am the instigator
of words meant to curl your lips
into a kiss of semantics
that we could write together
with reckless abandon"
The above lines are classic. Thank you Jacob for sharing the amazing poetry.

Maybe we don't understand completely the power writers wield. We can curl lips, up or down, raise eyebrows, bring a flush to the face and warm the heart. Most have a love affair with words much like this great poem. Good write, j.
This is a bit more romantic than most of your writes....and it is a wonderful change. Commas, nouns, adverbs, adjectives all become so important when two people care about the same things in life....and each other. No other story is the same as THEIR love story....because it is uniquely theirs. So lovely. Lydi**
see Jacob, I knew you were an instigator, a recklessly abandoned semantics kisser, other wise known as a romantic... I mean how could she not be wild about your similes??? or your metaphors... she sounds like a love sonnet waiting to happen Jacob, go get her...;0) I can hear her now saying, "I love when you talk poetry to me Jacob, tell me again about my commas"... loved you poem Jacob..

I just went along with the myth and metaphor.. and also isn't most of our love poetry about a mythical women/man.. someone we conjure up with magical spells of words (maybe an eye of newt) and as such you do love her very much and she could not ever ever resist your metaphors... lol.

The poetry of a relationship can turn into a love story or a tragedy. The best poems aren't always understood outright. We need to think and ruminate over them, often learning too late what they really meant.
