Hope springs eternal and so we turn the pages no matter. Love, needing to be loved is the driving force behind everything mankind does and is truly the most powerful of emotions. Call it what you will, wrap it in any dust cover you like, but without it we would not even bother to turn the first page.
Awwww. I think this is my favorite of yours that I've read so far! 'I actually held you in my arms once upon a time', 'fairy tale lips'... oh my goodness, all of it! Perfect write for me. Sad story yes, but terrific poem. Thanks for the read :) Isabella.
some books, as in life, have no happy ever after ending... and I am not sure which is worse, the belief in the illusion of a happy ending or the reality of a once story of pretending... both leave one with a no recompense...
We were all bright eyed and expectant once. Love we are told in fairy-tales ends well; then we grow up and 'walk the walk' only to be let down and realise it was all illusion. You weave the story in inked metaphors laiden with such pathos Jacob.
