yes...out of pain comes life! i believe that pain is the biggest river in our universe ..nothing comes close to it .. your metaphors as always are spot on and intriguing ... first verse especially "home grown" and gritty ;) interesting choice of drug sir! most i think prefer something more numbing :)

This compelling line says so much! compost- any gardener's gold! Words are indeed compost- it is perfect metaphor for the expression of emotions, the healing of old wounds, poetry!
your words aren't compost. I like curling moments of love. Is a gardens soul really full? It would feel that way to me, all that variation. Why not use expected instead of perennial? Good to hear from you my friend.
