the us the we and other things

the us the we and other things

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

the us the we and other things

spit shine morale

without the shine,

just the spit

after we split

and the "us"

bit the dust.

a flurry of spiders dancing

moth balls prancing

from the wedding tux

to a heart in flux

i still hear our song

but old verses

cease to belong

memories stung by the glare

the "we" no longer there.

WOW, a rhyming poem from you....a love that was special at one time. I feel the emotional pain in this one. "from the wedding tux to a heart in flux".....great line. Lydi**

The tale of love that once was but now is long past told in lovely word play and rhyming 'mischief' that made me smile Jacob.
