thank you, Brewerton,

Powerful. Says much about the awful state we find ourselves in. So much hate and vitriol, that even God has taken flight and gone south for the winter months.

There is such a painful chill that flows through your lines. Drinking down the poison words, the thoughts of this darkness, the abandonment of God's presence, and the lostness of gazing into the earth, downcast and undone. Beautifully bittersweet.

You are welcome my friend.
I'm sure there's a lot of people in the South that think He's up North. As for me, He's everywhere and nowhere, but I try to keep Him in my heart. I imagine God might be rather disappointed in us as some of us might be disappointed in Him. Hard to say what tomorrow will bring, or even the next hour. Having God's eyes cast to the ground would be a good thing for us, means He's watching us as he flies South----North, East, West. I know, I'm sounding rather religious. I'm not a fanatic, but I do believe.

Wait, you wouldn't happen to be in Montana, would you, j?

I am pleased that I have no god elsewise this might depress me Jacob. God abandoning his flock despite all the promises of his minions here on earth. We watch daily so many tragic things and yet we are asked to believe a just god might have a plan?

PS final line 'eyes cast to the ground' makes five syllables?
