The Subject of your Sentence

The Subject of your Sentence

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

The Subject of your Sentence

i was just a nondescript pronoun

until you came along and gave me color

made me the noun i always wanted to be

the most adverbially modified adjectives

could not describe

my transcription into specific being

nor detail resolutely enough

the healing of my heart,

in conjunction with your love.

Ah Jacob,
Please watch the youtube link below. Your words reminded me of the lovely Scottish comedienne Ronni Ancona s appearance on QI, talking about adverbs and pronouns. I think i fell in love with her after hearing it. Yours is great, but im not buttoned up that way 😀

Oh so very grammatically brilliant, dear j! Anyone would think you've used and valued the English language inside out and forever! Seems you know all the right words when it comes to she who knows how to parse your emotions past, present and - so it would appear, future. Or summat!

Even tho your poem feels like wordplay for writing zealots, the nugget of truth is that it makes a huge difference, the way a person refers to you, the way words are used . . . something to pay attention to & it can show us more than flowing glowing romantic blather (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

What a difference a bit of love and affection can make. Suddenly the dismal becomes vibrant. The ordinary becomes far more interesting. Everything is injected with a bit of vitality. We start living instead of existing. Great little poem Jacob.

Speaking the words of love. The way it goes beyond comprehension. Another masterpiece from your word of mouth. Always enjoyed reading your one of a kind pieces.
